A five-day itinerary along the western coast of Sicily, between crystalline seas, rocky hills, and cities steeped in history. From the golden beaches of Cefalù to the panoramic views of Erice, passing through the salty reflections of Trapani, this journey crosses a varied and luminous landscape. The common thread is the Arab-Norman heritage, visible in the majestic architectures of Monreale, Palermo, and Cefalù, which tell a story of encounters, conquests, and coexistence.
Day #1: PALERMO AIRPORT – MONREALE
Independent arrival at Palermo Airport, car pick-up, and departure to Monreale for a self-guided visit of the town. This small village, just 10 km from Palermo, houses one of Italy’s most beautiful Norman treasures. Afterwards, transfer to the capital for hotel check-in and overnight stay.
Day #2: PALERMO
In the morning, guided tour of Palermo, an intense and layered city, undisputed protagonist of Sicilian history. Like Monreale, Palermo is also a precious example of Arab-Norman art: a blend of cultures visible in its palaces, churches, and historic markets. Main stops include the Cathedral, where Emperor Frederick II rests. Return to hotel and overnight stay.
Day #3: ERICE – TRAPANI
After breakfast, departure for Erice for a guided tour of this charming medieval village, perched on a hill with breathtaking views. Explore stone alleys, quiet courtyards, and the scent of almonds, visiting the Castle of Venus, the Tower of King Frederick, and the impressive Cathedral. In the afternoon, descend to the coast for a walk through Trapani’s historic center. Return to hotel in Palermo.
Day #4: CEFALÙ
After breakfast, transfer to Cefalù for a guided tour of one of the island’s most captivating towns. At the end of the visit, return to hotel in Palermo.
Day #5: PALERMO AIRPORT
After check-out, transfer to Palermo Airport and return of the rental car.
