It continues toward the islands of the southwest, where Sant’Antioco embodies the authentic spirit of a people connected to the sea and fishing traditions. Next, you enter the mining heart of the region, exploring the industrial heritage of Iglesias and the ancient Henry Gallery to understand the area’s economic history. The route concludes in the Capo Carbonara area, where white sandy beaches and turquoise waters will leave you with an unforgettable memory of Sardinia.

Day #1: CAGLIARI AIRPORT – CAGLIARI
Independent arrival at Cagliari Airport, car pick-up, and first encounter with the island by visiting the lively city of Cagliari.

Day #2: CAGLIARI
Full day dedicated to discovering the Sardinian capital. The Castello district dominates the city from above, with panoramic bastions overlooking the sea and narrow medieval streets leading to the Cathedral of Santa Maria. Historic markets, such as San Benedetto, reveal the city’s gastronomic soul, while the Poetto seafront offers a relaxing walk along sandy beaches with pink flamingos. Overnight in hotel.

Day #3: SANT’ANTIOCO – HENRY GALLERY – IGLESIAS
After check-out, departure for the island of Sant’Antioco, where turquoise waters meet a village with authentic and wild atmospheres. In the afternoon, visit the ancient Henry Gallery, a testament to the mining past of southwestern Sardinia, with its tunnels and unique sea-cliff views. The day concludes in Iglesias, a city with a strong industrial and historical identity, for overnight stay.

Day #4: BARUMINI – MANDAS
After check-out, depart for the heart of Sardinia to explore the nuragic site of Barumini, a UNESCO World Heritage site and symbol of Sardinia’s prehistoric civilization. The stone towers and surrounding villages tell ancient stories linked to the island’s pastoral life. In the afternoon, reach Mandas, a rural inland village, for a fresh pasta workshop: an authentic experience to learn traditional recipes and taste them on site. Overnight stay locally.

Day #5: VILLASIMIUS – SAN SPERATE
Departure for Villasimius, the southeasternmost point of the coast, famous for its white sandy beaches and turquoise waters framed by Mediterranean scrub. In the afternoon, visit the evocative Sound Garden by master Pinuccio Sciola in San Sperate, where stone sculptures become musical instruments moved by the wind and human touch. Overnight in Cagliari.

Day #6: CAGLIARI AIRPORT
After check-out, transfer to Cagliari Airport and return the rental car.
